The Village of Rhinebeck is a special place and making it an Autism Supportive Community is a natural fit. We are leading the way for other communities as we are the first “Autism Supportive Community” in the region in partnership with Anderson Center for Autism and a grant from the Thompson Trust Foundation.  From my first meeting with Anderson Center for Autism to talk about the concept I was in and in all the way. We formed a committee made up of community leaders  to make our vision a reality. What does this mean, it means that as a Village, we promote understanding about autism and provide support through engaging, training and educating the community. And we want to make certain that individuals with autism and their families feel comfortable and welcome here.  SEE THE VIDEO:  https://vimeo.com/365427206
